I have loved getting to know my students this year. What I love so much about this particular group of students is how diverse they are, and the amazing qualities that each of them brings to the classroom. They are funny, kind, hard-working, and love to learn! With the pandemic, my students have shown how resilient and flexible they are. With that being said, there is a lot of learning that needs to take place this year both socially and academically. I want to ensure that my students have all the materials they need in order to be successful this school year.
My Project
Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, many of my students have never been to school before. One of their favorite things to do is color! They use any chance they can get to color pictures for their friends and teachers. They are also given the chance to color during classroom activities throughout the week.
As we approach the second half of the school year, many of my students have used up all of their markers and coloring supplies.
Most of them only have two or three colors to choose from. While they never complain and are grateful for having any supplies, I want to give each of them a brand new pack of markers. My class is also in need of dry erase markers and erasers. We use whiteboards every day to practice math problems and writing. Your donation will bring a smile to each of my student's faces. These supplies will allow them to express their creativity through pictures.
