I am excited to meet my new group of young fives students this fall. These students are kindergarten age, but are not yet emotionally or academically ready for the rigors of kindergarten. Young fives gives them a year to learn what they need to be successful in kindergarten and beyond.
Young fives students are ready to actively learn, play, sing, read, write, build, create, and more.
I am looking forward to introducing them to the fun of school and learning.
My Project
The classroom rug is a place where my students meet each morning to learn about each other. Here we will sing together, read together and play games. The oval shape helps the students quickly get ready to listen and share with their classmates. This colorful rug will create a great atmosphere and has letters around the outside that can be used in alphabet games.
This sturdy rug will also be used for small group instruction, partner reading, puzzle, building, and a lot more.
This will be the centerpiece of our classroom and will be used for multiple learning activities throughout the school day.
