My Students
My K-3 students live in a rural community, where the entire elementary population receives free lunches. The students come from diverse backgrounds with a strong desire to learn and be challenged in new and exciting ways. They seize opportunities, and are excited by new perspectives and additions to our classroom. Classroom instruction includes highly engaging, hands-on activities to keep students focused and motivated.
My students are in need of opportunities to build strong early literacy skills that will benefit them for their entire lives!
My Project
Early literacy skills such as phonemic awareness, letter names/sounds, sight words, and phonics, are so important for our K-3 students! With the unknowns of COVID in the upcoming 2020-2021 school year, I want to guarantee my kiddos have the BEST learning opportunities possible. Product credit from the "Teachers Pay Teachers" website will allow me to purchase supplemental learning materials to give my students and parents a fun and exciting way to learn!
Through this project, students in grades K-3 that struggle with reading will be able to have access to fun, interactive activities and games, for use in the classroom and at home.
