Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our students are enthusiastic learners who thrive when provided with the best our educational system has to offer.
We are raising money to build a makerspace lab for our students.
Students are learning basic computer science principles using code.org and scratch MIT coding applications.
Our students are excited to have a new technology program at their school and are looking forward to a new makerspace/technology lab. Our goal is to provide our students with the skills to apply cutting-edge technologies to solve real-world problems in a creative and fun environment.
My Project
A color printer is a basic tool needed for all elementary schools. Teachers need to be able to print out documents for students that are easy to navigate and understand. Documents handed to our students in full color are easier to read and understand and really helps our students succeed.
Students need to see their published works printed out in full color.
Our students create amazing works using our computers but all of the art, poetry, and coding projects cannot be printed out and displayed in full color without a color printer for all to use. Our color printer will be placed in the computer lab and available for the entire school!
