I work in an NYC public school. My students are very diverse. Half of my kindergarten students are English Language Learners and the other half of my students are native English language speakers. They are sharing the experience and supporting each other in learning new languages together. My students are receiving instruction in English for one day and Chinese(Mandarin) for the other. Many of my students are new to the country and their families are struggling to make a living. They go to after school programs so that their parents will be able to work. They hardly get to see their parents nor spend quality time with their families.
We would love to have some blue seat sacks so that my students can keep the notebooks and belongings there.
These seat sacks can slide onto the back of the classroom chairs creating an instant storage pocket for books and school supplies. Since I have 50 students between the two classes, these seat sacks would be very helpful to organize all the materials they need to work with every day. I want my children to have easy access to all the materials they need and keep their desks clutter-free!
My Project
My kindergarten dual language classroom is shared by 50 students. These seat sacks are perfect for my kindergarteners to keep all their paperwork, folders, workbooks neat and tidy. My students will be able to learn how to organize all these materials that they use daily.
Many of my students are struggling with organization and often forget to bring their folders or workbooks home!
I have NEVER found a "CURE" for these problems until another teacher from my school told me how wonderful these seat sacks are. My classroom has so MANY bins to try to organize all the materials my students need to work with every day, and they take up a lot of spaces in my classroom. I think these seat sacks can help to manage the clutter in my classroom.
