A Clear Picture Is Worth a Thousand Words!

My Students

We are a small elementary school with a declining population due to the cost of living dramatically increasing in our area. Since it is now cost prohibitive for young families with elementary age children to move in, many students in our school are from families where multiple generations have attended in the same classrooms.

To attract additional families to the area, our school offers Chinese immersion classes as well as classes entirely in English.

My class consists of 30 diverse students who are active, kind, and intelligent. These students enjoyed the flexibility associated with Covid at-home learning and continue to adjust back to full days in a classroom with academic and behavioral accountability. We have found creative ways to motivate these students!

My Project

Students learn best when they see examples and are able to engage in multi-media presentations and activities. Right now, due to limitations we have with the technology set up in the classroom, students don't get a clear image when attempting to use those tools. Our current work around is to show my computer screen under the document camera.

Having an Apple TV will bypass the current technology limitations we have and will allow us to project a clear image from the iPad to the projector.

This will allow students to more clearly see online presentations, examples, media, and help to reignite their interest in learning.
