My Students
My students attend fourth grade at a small urban school. The school is in a low-income school district, and each year more and more cuts are made to our school, greatly affecting the resources we have. Unfortunately, my students are missing the daily necessities that they need to stay healthy in our classroom! I don't want our school's funding to get in the way of my students’ health and learning.
My students want to be at school learning!
They are hard working, creative, and curious! They truly deserve to have the materials that they need in order to be healthy and have a successful learning experience at school!
My Project
We are still fighting the sicknesses at school and more and more kids are missing school because of being sick. So many students have been missing several days of school! This makes it very hard for my students to catch up with their missed school work.
My students need to stay healthy in order to learn!
We keep running out of tissues because so many of my students are sick. I have bought many boxes of tissues this year, but it is very hard for me to keep up. My students who are sick are now having to go to the bathroom to blow their noses. Sadly, tissues are not available in our room, and we need help. We also need hand sanitizer and hand wipes to help limit the germs from spreading among the students. Having these supplies will help keep all of my students in the room, so they are not missing valuable learning time.
