The students in my second grade class are driven, bubbly, and excited for the upcoming year. We have a large class of thirty two, who all come from diverse backgrounds and have unique stories. A handful of my students are still in the process of learning English, as this is their second year in the country. This year, each student in my class is working on key academic and social goals for the year, which will help them grow as individuals. I am very excited to see their growth as students, and as people!
My Project
As a teacher, my goal is to provide my "kids" with a fun, exciting, and meaningful education in which they are able to learn the needed content as well as grow socially and academically. However, students cannot learn and grow if they are not in school due to illness.
In order to hopefully decrease illness this upcoming school year, I want to make sure I have the needed items to keep my classroom clean and germ free.
As we spend the majority of our time in our classroom, it is very important to have a clean and sanitary space. Although my students are asked to bring in these items, I know they tend to be very expensive and some students may not be able to afford them.
