My students learn best with hands-on experiments and firsthand looks at things. They have a great enthusiasm for learning math and science and this school year, I will be teaching ELA and Social Studies as well. We are from a Title I school.
My students come to school with an eagerness to learn.
We are a Title I school. I want to grow my students' curiosity to learn by showing them that learning can be fun. Mrs. Frizzle from the Magic School Bus series always said, "Take chances, make mistakes, get messy!" My class does this with hands-on learning and STEAM. My classroom is a fun and inviting place to learn. I have hands-on activities every day. My goal is to introduce students to science in a fun way and inspire students to want to pursue a career in science. I also have a goal to inspire students to have a love of learning for years to come. I want to also teach my students how to show empathy and to be caring. We want to help our fellow students at our school and in our community that could be experiencing financial difficulties or homeless/homelessness.
My Project
My students need the supplies to keep our classroom clean and healthy! This year has been the year of stomach viruses and colds which makes it extremely difficult to keep a clean classroom with all the runny noses. In order to prevent, or at least hopefully lessen student illness, classroom cleaning supplies are imperative.
A clean classroom is a successful classroom.
Having Clorox wipes would make the job a lot easier by using them to clean student desks each day. With the wipes, students can put on a latex glove and clean their desk. This way, germs that would be sitting on the desk for days in and days out will be removed. Tissues would help with the runny noses from colds and GermX would be fantastic to have next to tissue boxes so students can GermX their hands after wiping their noses. Hand soap will also help with the spread of germs in our classroom. Airwick scents will also help to keep our classroom smelling fresh and clean!
