Mr. T. from Indianapolis IN is requesting instructional technology through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need a classroom document camera that displays smaller sheets of paper on the overhead projector for students to see clearly.

I work in a school that has a diverse student population. We work with a church that is near our elementary school that funds families from Nigeria and helps get them started here in the states. This brings new cultures and languages to our school every day. We have over 860 students and the entire student population is on free breakfast and lunch.
Most of these students live in difficult or troubled areas/homes, yet still, come to school with a smile on their face, and we aim to keep it there!
In Kindergarten we try and make everything as visual as possible. For example, when we do math or writing, I always tape the paper or activity to my small whiteboard while they work at their desks. We run into the problem of my board being at the front of the room on the wall. The papers or activities that I tape to the board are often too small for them to see which makes it hard for them to know what they need to do next. If I do it in front of them while they are on the carpet, they can see it, but as soon as they go to their seats they no longer can. This causes them to have to get up and go look, which can lead to off task and unfocused behavior.
If the A+ Ranch (our classroom's name) had a document camera in the room, it would help alleviate this problem and they would be able to "see clearly!" Not only would the students be able to see my examples while I'm doing them, but I could leave it up so they could continue to look at it if needed while at their seats.
Additionally, it gives them a chance to showcase their work for the whole class to see. It lends itself to wonderful leadership opportunities in showcasing and completing work.
