I teach 8th grade science in the Bronx. I love it. What more can I say? I never intended to become a science teacher- it was an opportunity that was supposed to be temporary, and now I can’t imagine teaching anywhere or anything else!
It’s super important to have access to all of the tools to make the most out of our time in the classroom.
My students work so hard in class, so I do my best to make sure they have the best of the best. They love to learn and soak up everything that is interesting and amazing about the world of science. As they quickly approach high school and NYS regents, there is so much to get ready for. I do my best, not only to prepare them for high school, but also for college as well.
My Project
Who doesn’t like to wrap up a unit of study with a great project! Whether students choose their final product to be a poster or a PowerPoint presentation, who doesn’t like to showcase their work in color?
A classroom printer will give us the ability to print our work in color, work that might end up being placed into high school portfolios during the application process.
We want our work to stand out and shine!
We will be learning everything from geology in space to natural selection and magnetism in our 8th grade class this year. This printer will slow us to really have graphics and images that make our work pop!
