My Students

I teach in an environment that allows me to create alongside students of all ages. As an art teacher, I have the privilege of seeing students express themselves in an abundance of ways; through paper, paint, sculpture, sewing, and more. All of the students I service are incredibly unique. Their creations exhibit that.

Regardless of the differences among my students, our classroom is a community.

My students thrive off the sense of belonging, sharing, and love in our classroom. It is a safe space where students are able to create and express themselves freely.

My Project

A classroom carpet would enhance my students learning. Currently, we are without a group seating area in our classroom. This makes it difficult for students to share with one another, focus their attention, and have a sense of routine.

This carpet would give my students a gathering spot to engage in their learning.

I am eager to implement carpet time into my schedule- I believe a carpet would make transitions to whole group lessons easier for my students, as well as focus their attention with close proximity.
