Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Please help my low performing, impoverished students prepare for college by giving them tools they can use to succeed in school and life.

I teach 10th grade English. In addition, I teach two "lab" classes that are designed for low performing students. My students are a largely poor, immigrant population. With all the budget cuts I am unable to get basic supplies I need to help these kids succeed.

The book I am requesting, "The 7 Habits of Highly Successful Teens" is a wonderful resource. This book will give my students concrete tools to help them succeed in such critical areas like staying organized and setting goals.

You will help my students with a set of tools they can use in their daily lives. This book will enable them to realize the importance of, among other things, the importance of setting goals and developing habits which will positively impact their lives. Thank you!
