Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students love technology-rich hands-on learning, collaboration, and sharing about their learning experiences. My students are eager to explore and learn, and they desire hands-on learning opportunities and an environment that promotes collaboration, creativity, and movement.

With an inviting classroom environment, a class Makerspace and an evolving outdoor learning space, I keep my classroom a place where students want to be. My students thrive on collaboration, exploration, and learning any place and time.
My Project
Second graders love to move and be active. Research shows that kids actually learn better when they are moving and being active. This movement is so important to their brains! Our classroom is designed with this idea in mind, but we are in need of active furniture to benefit more kids.
Engage the body, engage the mind!
Kids learn best when they are moving. The Kore Wobble Stools and yoga cushions provide flexible seating for students. The standing desk allows kids to stand while working. Having these different choices for kids will promote an active learning environment where kids can work. These active seats and standing desk will increase student engagement and performance.
