I teach a second grade ICT classroom. Half of the class is full of students with special needs. The school belongs to a low-income and multicultural community. However, that does not stop my students from being curious and creative about the world around them.
Whenever we do any form of teaching that requires a hands-on activity, they always seem to increase in enthusiasm.
They come everyday with an uncanny desire to learn more and explore, as seen through our class activities.
A class easel is a priority in our classroom because it can be used for class readings, book displays, or charts. In addition, I can use it as a visual aid in demonstrating new concepts towards all subjects for my students. Furthermore, it can also serve as a hands-on tool for interactive learning due to it's magnetic properties that students can use for math and reading.
The easel contains two sides, with one side blank in order to allow the students to draw, while the other side has permanent lines that can be used for model writing purposes.
