My students are kind and eager to learn. They work so hard every day and are especially excited in anything that involves technology.
Project-based learning is an integral part of what we do every day.
Kids are collaborating every day and developing skills they will use for the rest of their lives.
I have seen such amazing progress with even the most reluctant writers when they move from pencil and paper to the computer screen.
My school is a public school located in MA. We are a K-8 school, with 897 students currently enrolled. Students at this school come from a variety of economic backgrounds. About sixty-two percent come from low-income families. Many children are first and second-generation immigrants. The diversity in this school is magnificent, we speak many languages-French Creole, Chinese, Portuguese, Spanish, and English. We celebrate how fortunate we are to educate so many children from all over the world.
Located north of Boston, our district is extremely ethnically diverse; over 60 languages are spoken throughout the district. In addition, many of our students receive reduced-rate or free lunch.
Having access to individual Chromebooks will enable my kids to work at their own pace. My class is currently sharing 12 devices. Our goal is to have a Chromebook for each student. We have recently shown amazing success in IXL math by using it daily for homework, but some students do not have technology at home so this project really helps those kids out tremendously! Donors like you give so much to extremely deserving kids. Those kids are seeing firsthand what it means to experience generosity when people in their community believe in their success. Your investment in them will do more than you can ever imagine. Thank you for considering us.
