My Students

My third graders are energetic kids who get excited about learning, whenever it is meaningful and engaging. Whenever the material is challenging and fun, these students are very enthusiastic about what we are doing. They love doing hands-on activities, especially science and math. These third graders love to take charge of their own learning.

Third grade is a transition year where kids go from being the "little kids" to being the "big kids." They get to practice being independent, and they get to be responsible for their own learning.

My Project

I am asking for enough copies of the book "Charlotte's Web" so that each child in my classroom can have their own copy. I am wanting to do a novel study with this award-winning book. Our current reading series focuses on nonfiction, and there isn't much emphasis on fiction.

"Charlotte's Web" will be a great story to teach fictional literature elements with.

Students will absolutely love reading this book. I just know that they will be very engaged with this story, and it will help inspire a love for reading.
