Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The students attend a Title I school where resources are limited. In my class of fifth grade, all the students are bilingual. They are diverse, but very curious and unique learners. Hence, I believe our schools should provide the resources to empower the leaning. Students bring unique personalities, learning styles and needs, therefore flexible seating will support a safe, focussed and comfortable learning environment where each student believes it is the best place to learn.
The students are multicultural and they deserve the experience of the nontraditional classroom environment, as this year is their last year in an elementary school, flexible seating will be a way to transition to middle school where they need to be more independent and responsible for their choices.
My Project
The students haven't had the options in the way they learned in the last five years of their elementary education. With your help and my wishes, flexible seating will empower students learning by having better options this year. Flexible seating is an independent way of selecting where and with whom the students work best. Additionally, the choices provide the flexibility to change location and position as needed.

Therefore, the options provide a comfortable venue for learning to increase their focus. The Wobble seats can be moved around and allowed them to wiggle when needed. The Comfy Pillows allowed them to move around to either seat or lean on them. The comfy seats can be used also to sit or to be placed on chairs for additional comfort. These choices will increase students' concentration in learning in the best environment to suit their comfort.
