My students need colored pencils and glue sticks for their interactive Language Arts and Social Studies notebooks. A cart is necessary for our laptop and document camera to teach from my new interactive SMARTBoard.
I must admit my students are some of the most creative and thoughtful students around! They absolutely love hands-on and engaging projects that challenge them to think outside the box! They come to school every morning, each with their own unique personality, sense of humor, and eagerness for learning which guides their growth both personally and academically. Truly, they are my inspiration! Many students come in on Day 1 saying their experience with reading at home is, for a simpler term, limited or non-existent. This is where we begin - rediscovering reading and bringing the love back! I personally believe that every child can learn to love reading, though they just may have not found the right book yet. We try to keep the learning fun by embarking on a variety of learning opportunities throughout the year to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are! I am blessed to do what I do and strive to make a difference in their lives, however big or small. My students are the best!
My Project
The supplies and materials requested, specifically the glue sticks and colored pencils, will be used by my students throughout the year in their Language Arts and Social Studies interactive journals.
These journals will be used to take notes, illustrate ideas, respond to ideas and synthesize their learning.
Technology rests at the heart of our classroom learning environment, and a cart is a necessity to hold our laptop, speakers and interactive ELMO document camera! These items will work hand-in-hand with our brand new classroom SMARTBoard, allowing the quality of instruction and learning to reach new heights through interactive engagement! Ready, set, go!
