I teach in an inclusive Pre-K classroom. We have 20 students including Head Start, Pre-K Counts, and Special Needs. They are curious, creative and ready to be challenged! They love any hands-on learning and would greatly benefit from more interactive tools. Each child brings their own gifts and challenges to our classroom. They require a variety of activities to meet their specific needs!
We are in dire need of a new carpet!
With twenty students our little carpet doesn't fit all of us. We are currently using a carpet that is torn and old. I would love to give my students enough space to play and participate in our group activities without running into each other. A bigger carpet with space for each child would help us focus and learn!
My Project
Help! We need a new Circle Time carpet! Our current carpet doesn't fit all of our students. We would love to have everyone included in our learning space. This new carpet would give every student their own spot. Providing enough space so they are comfortable and focused. When the carpet is too small it is hard for our students to fully concentrate on their learning. They are often touching each other or too close to another student to see the teacher.
Three and four year old children wiggle!
They need a bit of space to learn how to attend in school. This extra room will provide them time to learn without disturbing the person next to them. A larger carpet will help the entire class remain positive as we will not have to stop our learning to make space adjustments.
