Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

The Kindergartners of my school are full of life and are ready to learn! Each day they fill up my classroom with bright smiles and eager minds. My goal for all Kindergarten students is to develop a love of learning and exploration. Each day brings new adventures, experiences, and growth to all my students.

All of the students at our school receive a free breakfast and lunch provided by the school.

Even though some students encounter hardships and struggles, all children come to school eager to learn and do their very best. My hope for these Kindergartners is to create and foster an educational environment where they can thrive as young learners and explore the world around them.

My Project

A carpet for meetings, greetings, and readings is a project meant to build a more inviting classroom environment for all my students. This carpet will provide students with specific spaces to sit to promote student focus on lessons and activities.

It would be more than a carpet to these wonderful kids....no longer sitting on the floor, they'll have a new and improved comfort zone!

One that facilitates and fosters learning through group activities, guest speakers and peer to peer activities.
