The students in my room love to learn! Their independence pushes our adventures to new levels every day!
My students are vivacious, enthusiastic and simply a blast to teach.
They love any opportunity to use their hands and get down and dirty when learning about the real world. Worksheets are a thing of the past for these guys! Expo markers, magnets, games, blocks and even chalk are tools my boys and girls use to stretch their thinking every day! They love any opportunity they can get to take their work or a good fit book and sit under the beautiful San Diego sun. Building, singing, reading, playing and creating are what these student love to do.
The classroom environment IS the second teacher in the room. By providing students with predictable routines and designated locations for learning, undesired student behaviors diminish, and learning can be the focus!
Children thrive in a supportive, loving, and visually stimulating environment.
A bright classroom rug with 30 spots will provide each student with their own colored space to gather for morning meetings and our Daily 5 and Daily 3 mini lessons. It will support classroom management and with have enough room for all while accommodating those who may need additional personal space. It will complement our classroom by adding just the right amount of color without being over stimulating to the students!
