My students need a classroom carpet. Our current rug is very old and dirty and is not able to be cleaned. This rug would give them a clean and bright place to have carpet time!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Introducing our class in Cleveland, Ohio! We are an urban school right outside downtown Cleveland. Our school is a bilingual school with a high population of Spanish speaking students. We also have a high population of students that qualify for free lunches.

In our room, we are an inclusion classroom that has a lot of energy and we are full of life!

We have both general education students and special education students. We are a class full of energetic boys and just a few girls. We have Spanish speakers mingled in with English speakers.

My Project

This carpet will give my students a bright and comfortable spot to have carpet time. We do a lot of learning on the carpet! Our morning meeting takes place here, Language Arts, and our time on the Clever Touch. The squares would provide each student with their own space.

It is also a learning tool!

We use the alphabet and shapes for fun activities in our learning! Students can play games by identifying the letters, colors and shapes from the carpet.

The carpet will bring color to our classroom! We all like to be in bright colorful spaces, and this carpet would assist with that!
