My kindergartners are sweet and loving 5 and 6 year-olds. They are full of energy and love to learn everything. They teach me a thing or two on a daily basis. They love anything new and challenging that you give them. They come from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds and some even come from non-traditional homes. For several of them, this is their first experience with school and I want them to leave my classroom ready to conquer the world.
My Project
STEM kits are a wonderful way to engage students in learning. Having a diverse set of STEM materials will help my Kindergartners create and build collaboratively with their peers. Students learn best when they are having fun in meaningful, engaging activities that are integrated into their curriculum. STEM resources provide young learners hands-on, engaging activities that will help them to foster problem solving skills, questioning, imagination, creativity, collaboration, critical thinking and so much more. My students will use the Engineer-A-Coaster STEM kit to work together with peers to build a coaster that works. Trial and error is important in solving real world problems. My students need to be able to see how they can apply what they are learning in the classroom to their future career.
It is also never too early for students to explore the many careers that await them.
Finding what interests them now can act as motivation throughout their school years preparing them for their future.
