Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are a group of amazing 3 year olds who are full of imagination and are eager to learn new things. Most of my students speak the English language I have two who are English language learners. All of my students try and are very smart kids. They really love whole group discussions and can really tap into a lot of higher order thinking. I enjoy my time with them daily and push them to seek more information everyday.

My Project

The themed classroom library will be used to allow the children to explore many different subjects from learning about the weather to learning about different feelings. The big books are exciting for little eyes to see and makes them even more interested in following along as each page turns. Books are very important in early childhood it’s the introduction of literacy and the beginning of developing a love for books and reading.

Having a classroom library of many different books for the children to select allows them to be able to see what different types of books they would like to look through.
