My Project

This year I have been working with my students to try and develop a passion for books. I have found one way to do that is to put a book in their hands that we are all reading together. This requires book sets which can be quite expensive. My classroom is comprised of 25+ students, from various ethnic, cultural, and social economic backgrounds. They are an amazing group of students! I love reading and developed my passion for books in elementary school while reading along with my teachers, and want to instill that same love in them. Watching my students as they fall in love with characters and begin to analyze and dissect plots and settings is amazing and helps put them on the road to becoming a life long learner!
