My Students

My students are loving, enthusiastic and ready to learn individuals. Each child has a different academic level and learning needs so I am constantly having to differentiate each lesson I am teaching. I have students with special needs as well as English language learners. As a teacher, I am continually trying to find new creative ways to engage my students in their learning. The best part of my job is how these kids are always willing to explore new ideas and learn new information!

My Project

This project will not only help give each child in my room access to books on their own specified reading level, but it will also expose them to higher reading levels. I am certain that when given the opportunity, each student can develop a love for reading that will last them a lifetime. This leveled library will not only do that, but will also help build a bridge among peers. Students with higher reading levels can take ownership of their successful reading skills, and can demonstrate them to others by supporting and reading to those that are not as confident.
