Hello I am a first grade teacher from New York. This is my second year teaching at a school that is only a year old. Slowly but surely we are acquiring the materials needed to provide quality education. As a second year teacher I am in need of various materials. I learned that one can never have too many books. Reading is a critical skill, especially for first graders. Our library is limited but growing. I need your help to expedite our growth and enrich learning.

Limited supplies can stifle the rate of academic progress. We are an inner city school. Most of the students receive free or reduced lunch. We want to give each student opportunities that will impact their lives, and lives that impact their community.

Your donation, no matter how small, equals a large step in the learning process. If "each one could reach one" it would have a large impact. Your financial support could purchase books that will open my students to the world! We would like you to purchase book sets from the following authors, to do author studies: Jack Ezra Keats Dr. Seuss Maurice Sendak Mary Pope Osborne Jack Prelutsky Mo. Willems Having these resources readily available will allow us to delve deep into writing techniques, point of view, character development and illustrations.

Please make a difference in a child, in a community, in the world. With your help my students can explore literary works that have stood the test of time, books that tap into childhood emotions, teach lessons, encourage imagination, call for predictions and track character development.
