My Students

I have the most wonderful, diverse group of students this year. They range in age from 10-12 and come from so many different walks of life. Because I teach in the only ESL (English as a Second Language) school in my district, I have students from all over the world entering my class all throughout the year. It is a blessing! We all learn so much from one another!

Our school is in an urban district and most of my students are economically disadvantaged.

They love to be engaged, especially when it comes to technology because some of them have very little of it at home. We are so grateful for this site and all of the generous donations people make to fund our projects! Thank you for supporting education!

My Project

Our classroom library needs an update!

With these new books, my students will be able to choose from a variety of books that they will not only enjoy but will allow them to read independently at their own grade level.

With some new titles on the shelves, my students will be able to choose books that interest them. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading. My students already have shown an astonishing interest in independent reading, and this project will only help enrich their experiences.

While technology is important and a key component to their learning, I challenge my students once a week to do a No Screen Day and enjoy reading a good book or playing a board game instead of getting on the computer, iPad, or video game. New books will help them to step up to that challenge! Thank you so much in advance for your donations!
