My Students
My school it a Title I school which means more than 80% live below the poverty level. Most are being raised by a single parent or grandparent homes. My students are very diverse and come from different family environments. Due to their home life, my students move around often They come to my classroom has a place of security.
My students love learning in a fun and welcoming atmosphere.
They truly enjoy learning and want to be anything but the status quo.
My Project
Since I service low-income students some of them come to school lacking basic supplies. I am would love to provide each student with a binder, a pack of paper and dividers so I know they have what they need to learn. All students deserve the same basic supplies as their peers. This will give me an opportunity to provide this for them.
I teach fifth grade and one of the biggest things I teach my students is how to be organized.
Having their own binder with dividers will help them keep their math, science and social studies work organized. As they move on to junior high next year, this will ensure their success!
