A Big Hug to Calm Down

Help me give my students weighted blankets and stuffies to help with big feelings.

My Project

Please help my students get a few weighted blankets and stuffies to snuggle with with the big feelings invade and hinder learning. Sometimes a weighted blanket or lap pad/stuffy can help big feelings when there is only one teacher that gives big hugs in the classroom.

I've noticed more and more students in my class seek the sensory input of big hugs and squeezes.

These stuffed animals and blankets may be able to help me "spread the love" of a hugs when my arms can't quite meet the needs of every kid at one time.

I hope these blankets and stuffed animals help calm down the nerves, emotions, and wiggles of kids who made need that extra weight of a hug, until I can get to them, to give them a real hug.
