My students need to be able to read award winning books...AKA Sunshine State books!
This project expired on October 20, 2018.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
I teach at a Title 1 school in Florida where 100% of students receive free breakfast and lunch. My class is filled with diverse backgrounds and a high percentage of students are from low income families. My students love reading and many do not have the chance to hold brand-new books, ever! They do not have books at home to read and I want to be able to provide them with that chance. A classroom library is essential in making a classroom "home". Thank you for taking the time to read this.
Sunshine State books are the perfect read for all of our fourth grade students. Many students do not have access to current and award-winning books in our school. We want to be able to give the opportunity to read the best books possible! Students will be able to write book reports on each of the books that they read in class all while feeling confident in reading books ON their level.
Give them the chance to read books that spark interest and that use their imagination!
Please help our Title 1 Sunshine State Stars have the chance to earn awards for reading and boost their confidence!
