The students I teach are special because they are from many different backgrounds, cultures, and individual circumstances that make it extra difficult to succeed academically. Many of the students I teach lack the financial resources to buy basic school supplies. However with all the odds against them they find a way to show up for school everyday and eager to learn. Some of them have no support from family and therefore it is even more imperative for me to find the necessary resources so they can reach academic success.
I live by my own words that, "You do not chose what you are born into but you do determine what you become." I try to teach my students that they can become anything they set their mind to through the power of education.
All they need is a donation that can assist they with a way to print out their projects, essays, information and documents so they can continue on their road to academic success.
My Project
Unfortunately, I encounter a major issue for the students I teach on a daily basis and it is they have no way to print their work. Imagine spending countless hours on an essay, project or assigment and not having a way to print it out to turn it in because you don't have a printer at home. Majority of the students lack the resources to print important documents. As a language arts teacher it is necessary to publish and print their essays and projects. It also allows the student and teacher to write notes, revise and edit on the paper itself. Finally, the best part is the final product can be displayed on the bulletin board or in the classroom.
