Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
"Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today." -Malcolm X. Our school strives for excellence and in the classroom, I look for the leader in each of my students.
Every student has capabilities, utilizing their own unique talents, and strengths.
With perseverance, motivation, and encouragement my students can succeed. They are fearless when it comes to technology and, as children of the 21st century, they need to be prepared to use a variety of tools to engage their world. They genuinely care about one another and continually make an effort to improve in all aspects.
My Project
Here we are, September 2018, in a world constantly changing! New technology is quickly moving at the speed of light, most of which is beyond what I can imagine. However, I find my class stuck in slow motion and about 20 years behind the times. My classroom does not have a SMART Board, a SMART TV, or even a working projector.
The 7th and 8th grade students need updated equipment like Chromebooks and headphones.
With this new technology, the students could get both audio/visual books, along with the latest resources which will increase their reading and comprehension skills. I would like to plan research projects and utilize the latest technology available to my students so they can have the best possible advantages to being successful.
