They need these books to explore serious issues related to growing up!
My students are all unique and they are the most amazing and dynamic young men and women around. Despite any emotional and academic struggles, they have risen above and decided to work towards success, both now and for their futures.
My students come from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
Some have limited success in school, difficulty with peer and adult interactions, and low self-esteem. They like to think and work outside of the box. They are our next generation of leaders, we just need help getting them there! Please join me!
My Project
I am starting a Gentleman's Group during our final quarter of this school year. I anticipated having a couple of kids, but I had 40 sign up!
We are looking to explore social and life skills in this group.
These books will compliment our studies nicely as we look at skills teens need to be contributing members of our community. We will examine society roles of men and boys in addition to skills such as opening a bank account, tying a tie, and how to give a handshake. Please help me make a difference in the lives of these young men.
