My Students

The students at our school are inquisitive, insightful, and determined young scholars. Our classroom is a space where our 8th graders explore reading and literacy each day. We've been collectively building a strong classroom culture and making our classroom feel more cozy. Our hopes are to create a library space where students can get lost in books and explore different worlds by reading engaging stories.

Our 8th graders are so deserving of a nurturing academic environment.

And while this school year has provided many challenges, the goal is still to empower our students to make observations about the world then to provide them with the space to venture out to make positive changes in the best ways that they see fit!

My Project

During the first and second marking periods of the school year, we worked on reading and analyzing The Crossover by Kwame Alexander. During this semester we will be reading and analyzing All Quiet on the Western Front by Erich Maria Remarque. Our students are moving into the second half of the school year and these writing supplies will help them tremendously with staying organized. We have been building momentum by writing each day about topics that engage discussion and creativity. We are looking forward to sharing our projects with you as the school year progresses.
