This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our students must envision themselves as tomorrow's leaders and be provided opportunities to explore their greatness.
As middle school students research the world of work, they focus on the following questions: Who am I?
Where am I headed? How do I get there? Their inquisitive minds lead them to consider multiple paths. Further research of career opportunities will help them to narrow down their choices.
My Project
Our 8th grade students will be participating in a career fair. Students will take information from the event and apply it to their own career exploration. They will sit and speak with professionals from various industries and inquire about education/skills needed for success. Presenters will be from such fields as Engineering, Graphic Design, Journalism, Law Enforcement, Military and Photography. As a culminating event for the school year, the program and luncheon will take place on a local college campus.
My students need lunch while experiencing a career fair to further enhance their professional goals.
The information gained will prepare our students to be productive, well-rounded citizens.
Your contribution will help provide another memorable event as their middle school experience concludes. Congratulations, Class of 2018!
