Kids call me Coach KC, and I am the cross-country and track and field coach. I also am an assistant football coach. I coach 54 athletes, high school boys and girls, and we participate in local and regional competitions. This year again, some of my athletes made it to State in both cross country and track and field. I am very proud of their efforts and successes.
My athletes are strongly motivated and do not mind putting a lot of time in to train.
Being part of the top school in the state – our public school ranks 50-80 in the nation each year -- they are competitive and always strive for the top.
My Project
The young athletes of my cross-country team and my track team need better conditioning if they want to improve their performances. This is why I am kindly requesting eight training masks.
The masks work by simulating training in an oxygen-deprived environment, in the case of my teams, training for running.
The device will enhance my athletes' mental focus and breathing muscle. It will improve their strength and energy and retrain their body to breathe correctly.
The mask will work by making my athletes' lungs work harder and get more oxygen in the blood. It will increase their aerobic endurance and toughness while burning more calories at a higher intensity of exercise.
