Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I currently teach middle school science. As a teacher I have realized that my students need a variety of learning products. Since our school is a public school in a low income neighborhood we are limited in science resources.
Although I am a teacher in a low income school I am able to provide my students with the same resources that a moderate to high income school may have. The reason being because I am able to write proposals to obtain resources needed to improve academic performance. Additional learning tools and materials allow my students the opportunity to ensure a successful education.
I am in need of science materials that my classroom is lacking. My class needs a variety of learning tools to help them increase academically.
I am in need of enrichment materials for my science classes. The science workbooks and test prep book will help my students prepare for upcoming standardized tests. I want my students to get an in depth understanding of the numerous science concepts that we are covering in class. We currently do not have science workbooks to help them prepare for these standardized state assessments. My students will gain a better understanding of scientific inquiry, physical science and life science.
Lack of funding in education does not give students enough materials to have a well-rounded education. I want my students to have these workbooks so they will be able to practice and prepare for future assessments. They need a variety of learning tools to help keep them involved and interested in learning since we lack science resources and materials. These books will help improve the students educational experience.
