My Students

My students are special for all the same reasons all students are special: they are the future.

Living in a rural community has its advantages and disadvantages.

On one hand, there doesn't seem to be many students that leave town after graduation. On the other hand, this makes our community very tight-knit.

I want my students to have as complete an education as possible so that, when the time comes, they will be well-equipped to venture out to see what the world is made of.

My Project

3D printing is so much more than the "cool" factor. Having a 3D printer offers students the opportunity to become creators, it would bring art back into the classroom, it would engage reluctant learners, it would make learning more hands-on, it would build camaraderie amongst peers working together, and would provide an opportunity to solve real-world problems.

Technology is already a huge role in the lives of today's students; wouldn't it be great if that technology was used for the greater good?

This 3D printer and filament would give students the spark they need to realize how "cool" learning can be.
