This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In May we as a 6th grade class will be learning about Greek mythology. We will be learning about Greek mythology in both Language Arts and in Social Studies. Students will learn about different Greek gods, civilizations, and customs. We will be doing a whole unit to try to full immerse them into the Greek culture.

These books will allow the students to take a modern look at Greek mythology and put themselves in Percy Jackson's shoes.

My students love to do novel studies. They truly immerse themselves into a book and they remember their love of reading. This will be our second novel study of the year and I just know that the students will love this.
