My students need 50 copies of our anatomy textbook, as ours are both outdated and in the roughest of shapes. We also need a model human skeleton to study!

My Students

My students are crazy about science. They come into class often with more questions than we have minutes in the day to devote to the greater mysteries of the universe. They are so excited about science I created a "mystery box" from which I answer a question once a day just for my students' thoughts.

My students are from a small city in the Boston area.

They come from many different backgrounds and places, and they speak a multitude of different languages. However, despite all their differences, they are a friendly and determined group of young people, and they are incredibly passionate about science.

My Project

One of the main focuses of our sixth-grade year in science is the human body. With 50 copies of the most updated edition of the textbook and a full-size human skeleton replica, we would be able to have the highest level of learning available. Given the somewhat abstract nature of anatomy, having the most updated and innovative educational materials would be a huge benefit.

This project is an investment in science learning, a chance to help "even the scales" in full-subject science learning for all students.

Finally, this project will act as an opportunity to further interest in the sciences for all of my students.
