My Students

What's better than art, 20 fabulous 1st graders and their work that they are SO proud of?

I'm the luckiest teacher ever!

I have the most terrific group of 1st graders and teach at a school that focuses on the arts through education! My students are so proud of their hard work and I thought..."How can I help them display it, while showing off their artistic talent?" Then it came to me...."They can paint their canvas, write their name and their work will be under it!" This will be a special project they will treasure for years to come!

My Project

The larger canvases will be for each child. They will paint it however their heart desires. This will give them the opportunity to express themselves through art! I will help write their name and we will display these in the hallway. Their writing will hang under their name. Their work will be changed out weekly and I can't wait to see their excitement as they go out in the hallway to update their fabulous work.

Art is such an important part of our school and classwork.

I love to see how excited and proud they are of their work. You can be part of this excitement! We are part of a Title One school, meaning many of our students come from low income homes. The smile on their face when they accomplish a new project, is priceless. I can't wait to show off their fabulous work, with your help!
