My Project

We are thrilled to introduce a comprehensive financial literacy initiative in our 5th-grade classrooms, reaching ALL 53 students using a program called ClassEquity. This program integrates financial literacy into our curriculum and serves as a behavior management tool, fostering a sense of community and responsibility among our students.

ClassEquity transforms our classrooms into vibrant communities where students actively engage in their learning environment, take on responsibilities beyond themselves, and develop financial responsibility in a safe and supportive space.

The program allows students to earn classroom money through daily activities, creating a practical connection between their actions and financial outcomes. This hands-on experience will empower all students to make informed decisions and develop essential financial skills that will benefit them. This money then will be used for real-world costs like paying rent, utilities, and the internet with the opportunity to shop in the classroom store.

Your sponsored items will supply the store. Some are fun items like stickers and finger poppers. Other items, students will have to save up and set financial goals to work towards to earn the items they want. Items like the beanbag chairs will be used as incentives to purchase time to read and will be used for years to come.
