Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The materials I am requesting are to help students connect with books again. Through covid-19 we have been on computers and screens and have not been able to connect with real books. I would like to introduce chapter books to the class and show them there are so many options for books and learning.

My students will be able to read books that are new/ exciting/ and connects to them.

By being able to connect to them through books they become so excited to read and share their thoughts. Reading 20 minutes a day means that students will read 1,800,000 words per year.
