My Project

My students are such hard-working and brilliant kiddos. They have to overcome so much in their day, and they are learning resilience in their daily lives. Being 5th graders, it is critical that they build a community within our classroom, with each other, and with their teachers. Books, such as A Letter From Your Teacher On The First Day, help to foster that community from the very beginning.

These materials would make a huge impact on my students for next year because they would start them off with some of the basics needed for school and various flexible seating options.

The flexible seating options would afford students the chance to find somewhere in the classroom in which they can comfortably learn. The storage containers would enable students to keep materials used frequently in our classroom organized while also being autonomous in their upkeep.
