My students need access to technology on a daily basis. We don't have the hardware to give students this access; Chromebooks would go a long way in furthering our instruction.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My classroom consists of students who have grown up poor and have learned English as a second language. My goal is to give these students a rich learning environment that transcends the typical boundaries of poverty; I want them to have access to technology that all our digital professions are moving towards.
I want my students to become proficient readers, writers, and thinkers.
My students are committed to education because our families know how important education is to making life better. My school has committed to our families and integrating all the cultures represented. It's a beautiful learning environment that I want to enrich with access to more technology.
My Project
Not only will my students will be able to access the internet on these chrome books, but they will also learn how to navigate word processing and presentation apps. They will become proficient in navigating the internet and apps that have become integral to education today. Without the money to have technology in their houses, having daily access (in school) to hardware will ensure they can compete in high school, college, and beyond.
Please help my students gain the access and skills they'll need to compete in today's digital workforce.
These five Chromebooks will help create a classroom set for my 8th grade students.
