Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My fourth grade students are very hard workers, and love to create new things! I have the pleasure of working with very diverse students in regards to both academics, but culture as well. With having so many different cultures represented within the classroom, we have had the opportunity to learn about cultures around the world and it has been so fun to watch students get excited and be proud about who they are and what makes them unique!
Utilizing personalized learning has allowed for my students to find their passion, and to explore it!
The students take pride in the work they accomplish and love to share it! These students are so creative and open minded to new learning opportunities and learning experiences! Students have a one-to-one technology ratio and are able to truly take their learning into their own hands and find what interests they have. It is so rewarding to watch them learn something new and want to share it with their peers!
My Project
Having this wooden mailbox, shelving unit in my classroom with allow a space for students to keep their take home folders, all of their in class work, as well as papers I need to send home to their families. The space on the two shelves below the mailbox are perfect housing opportunities for homework, finished work, pencils, and other daily materials that my students need.
Organization is an important skill we focus on in 4th grade!
