Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Do you remember the first book you read that made you fall in love with reading? My goal is to help my new fourth graders feel the same passion and excitement for reading. I teach 50 fourth graders at a title one ESOL elementary school in Jacksonville, Florida. My students come from all around the country and I am blessed enough to get to be their teacher. My students are the sweetest, most appreciative and hard working individuals. My classroom is a essential resource for my students. Most of them do not have access to books, supplies or technology at home. My goal is to create a classroom library that helps my students read as much as possible.
My Project
These materials will give my students the resources they need to become amazing readers and writers. Engaging stories will help drive their passion for reading. Organizational supplies will help the learning environment to be clean and functional.
Fun and exciting stories will attract my students attention and create a love for reading.
These stories will inspire my students to create their own stories. This is the beginning of their journey to writing. I want work with my fourth graders to create a love for reading and writing. By the end of the school year they will be literacy rock stars!
