My Project

My 4th graders of 2022-2023 will be taking their science learning to the next level with hands-on experiment kits! The future is looking bright as 4th graders study our favorite star the Sun. We will take a trip along the solar system with rotating models that show orbit! We will be diving into water experiments with clean water experiments and learn how water can turn into usable energy using hydropower! Want to know if a structure can withstand an earthquake? 4th grade students will be building a structure and putting it to the test to see if their engineering design will withstand the shaking quake! Want to know what an owl eats? We will dissect owl pellets to find the answer! Students will study the periodic table using flash cards, energy transference using a marble run, and take their learning out of this world with a Smithsonian science book about space!

Students love to be busy with hands-on experiments and models with STEM!

These tools and kits will support our entire year of science topics! 4th graders will dig for fossils and coprolites, work on programming a robot, learn how a hydraulic arm works, explore severe weather, study waves and sound energy, learn how climate change happens, study plant biology with peat pellets and study how soil affects plant growth in classroom growing centers! Students can model chemical bonds. They can practice chess as a class. There is a lot of science to explore this year with science tools like these!
